Oschad customers raised about UAH 2 million for the Superhumans Center as part of the #SuperCoins campaign

The largest amount of all participating banks, namely UAH 1.95 million (more than 50% of the total amount of UAH 3.6 million), was raised by Oschadbank as part of the #SuperCoins charity campaign organized by the National Bank of Ukraine and Superhumans Center, a modern clinic for prosthetics, reconstructive surgery, rehabilitation and psychological support for war victims.

Children and young people were the driving force behind the campaign, collecting coins in educational institutions. More than 210,000 children, students and teachers from all over Ukraine took part in the campaign.

According to the Superhumans Center, the funds will be used for surgical treatment, namely complex reconstructive surgeries on the face, neck and limbs for Ukrainians affected by the war. The patients include both civilians and soldiers who were seriously injured at the front.

“Oschadbank is traditionally the most active participant in charity events initiated by the NBU. We are especially pleased that the recipients of this year's coin collection were the patients of the Superhumans Center, whom Oschad has been supporting for a long time. Thus, the bank, together with MasterCard, organized a charity football match “Match for Heroes”, which raised funds for sports prostheses for veterans. Together with our partner, we also equipped two wards in the clinic and independently financed the creation of a sterilization unit. These projects are an important component of Oschadbank's inclusive program “My Accessibility”, in particular, assistance in physical rehabilitation and reintegration of female and male veterans,” said Sergii Naumov, Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.

The collection of #SuperCoins lasted for three months across Ukraine, from September 9 to December 6 this year. Everyone could donate coins through a network of partner banks, including Oschadbank. The banks transferred the funds raised to the account of the Superhumans Center.

The campaign also included a number of events for educational institutions:

• more than 25 thousand children participated in the educational talks “Respect and Understand”. During the classes, they learned about proper communication with people with disabilities - how to interact with respect, how to avoid stereotypes, express themselves correctly and create an atmosphere of mutual understanding. The talks were conducted by teachers based on materials developed by the NBU together with the Superhumans Center;
• more than 34 thousand participants of the campaign joined the Coins of Gratitude contest, during which educational institutions created mosaics from collected coins on the theme of gratitude to the Ukrainian military who defend Ukraine from the enemy.
