JSC "Oschadbank" Supervisory Board finishes the CEO competition

The Bank Supervisory Board approved results of the competition and decided on the winner in the CEO competitive selection on June 17, 2020. The winner is Sergii Naumov.

A comprehensive review of candidates and several interviews allowed the Supervisory Board Members to form an opinion about each of the candidates. Sergii Naumov has a reputation of a highly professional banker and manager. He is a practicing banker with extensive experience in crisis management, strategy development and implementation. We are confident that Oschadbank, under the leadership of Sergii Naumov, will successfully pass another stage of transformation", said Baiba Apine, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of JSC "Oschadbank".

Sergii Naumov graduated from the National Aviation University and Inter-regional Institute of Market Relationships (Economics Department). He has MBA degree from Kassel International Management School (Germany). Sergii Naumov has 25 years of experience in the banking sphere. He held managerial positions in leading Ukrainian banks, in particular, Raiffeisenbank, Ukrsibbank, Pravex-Bank and Piraeus Bank. He was the CEO in the last three banks. He has experience in audit company PricewaterhouseCoopers.

According to legal procedures, Mr Naumov will assume office after powers of the incumbent CEO Andriy Pyshnyy are terminated and Mr Naumov's appointment is approved by the National Bank of Ukraine. It is pursuant to the current legislation and in accordance with the Management Transition Plan to be determined by the Supervisory Board.

"On behalf of the Supervisory Board, I would like to thank Andriy Pyshnyy for the leadership in implementation of qualitative transformations in all areas of the bank's activity. Evaluating 5-year results of the bank, we were able to estimate the personal contribution of Mr Pyshnyy to the progress demonstrated by the team," commented Mrs Apine.

Oschadbank's strategic goals for the coming years: improving the efficiency of the banking business, maintaining its position in the corporate segment, increasing its presence in the segment of small and medium-sized businesses, strengthening its position in the retail business and continuing the strategic cooperation with the EBRD initiated by Mr Pyshnyy.
