The volume of energy loans issued by Oshchad to MSME clients exceeded UAH 1 billion
Oschad News
About 250 representatives of micro, small and medium-sized businesses have received loans totaling more than UAH 1 billion from Oschadbank to strengthen energy independence since the launch of these programs in June 2024. This result was achieved primarily due to the widespread use of government, international and partner cooperation programs. Another 540 projects worth about UAH 2.2 billion are under consideration at Oschadbank.
“Development of partnership programs is a strategic direction for Oschadbank. We are constantly expanding the range of offers for entrepreneurs to solve energy problems. The number of such initiatives will continue to grow, as helping businesses survive possible blackouts is a matter of economic security for our country. This is constantly on our agenda. I appeal to all potential international partners, manufacturers and dealers of energy equipment: if you do not yet have a joint project with Oschadbank, let's start it, and it will be not only business, but also a real manifestation of social responsibility,” said Natalia Butkova-Vitvitska, Member of the Management Board of Oschadbank responsible for MSMEs.
Oschadbank currently has several programs in its arsenal that ease the debt burden on businesses that borrow money to purchase energy equipment. Foremost, it is the program “Affordable Loans 5-7-9%”, which limits the maximum loan amount to UAH 150 million. Another type of lending is energy loans with no limit on the amount at a rate of 13.5%, which Oschad issues as part of a memorandum signed by leading Ukrainian banks. The third option for lending for energy independence from Oschadbank is partnership programs. Currently, the bank has more than 40 signed agreements with leading manufacturers and dealers of energy equipment at an interest rate of 0.01%. This partnership makes loans more affordable.
The following conditions apply to all the three offers:
- own contribution from 0%;
- the possibility of financing not only equipment but also works on credit (20% of the cost of equipment);
- equipment can be used as collateral (the registration may be delayed for up to 12 months);
- priority consideration of the application and reduced decision-making time;
- coverage of collateral by a guarantee from the EBRD or the government at no additional cost to the client;
- cashback in the form of an EBRD grant from 10% to 30% of the loan amount.
