Oschadbank joined the initiative to create a veteran-friendly business

Oschad News

Oschad has supported another initiative declaring its commitment to and strict adherence to the principles of business friendly to combatants. Sergii Naumov, Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank, signed the document on November 1 during the CEO Summit organized by Forbes magazine.

The memorandum “Principles of Veteran Friendly Business” was developed by Starlight Media with expert support from Veteran Hub, in collaboration with Forbes Ukraine and with the participation of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs. These are 12 key principles that formulate the right approaches and a comprehensive understanding of the actions and opportunities for businesses to support those who have defended our country and their families. The initiative was created by business for business - with the aim of deeper and more coordinated involvement in one of the key topics in the country's large-scale human capital work.

Thus, Oschad joins a coalition of businesses that brings together partners interested in building an environment that cares about fair support for veterans and their families in all areas of activity: in the workplace, in using products and services, in procurement, communications, marketing, community relations, etc. So far, 20 leading Ukrainian businesses have joined the initiative.

“Veteran policies are now on the agenda of leading Ukrainian companies. We need to be able to deal with these people, to help them without imposing our help, and to work together. It is important that we not only hire veterans and provide them with proper service conditions, but also create an environment free of stereotypes and barriers where they can be themselves and be successful,” said Serhii Naumov, Chairman of the Board of Oschadbank.

Joining the initiative is another step in Oschad's inclusive program “My Accessibility”. The program envisages internal transformations, including physical accessibility, barrier-free communication, a special service model and the development of digital technologies. Important parts of the program also include promoting the rehabilitation and reintegration of veterans through a comprehensive support program that includes a special service model, participation in the implementation of the veteran's direction of the state grant program eRobota, and the reintegration of demobilized Oschad employees. A separate product of the program is Business 4.5.0, which is focused on supporting veterans' business initiatives.

Oschadbank also initiates public discussions on creating a barrier-free environment in Ukraine through media and special events.
