Oschadbank honored the memory of employees killed in the full-scale invasion by planting a “Memory Alley” in Kyiv

Oschad News

On the eve of Ukraine's Independence Day, Oschadbank employees, including members of the Management Board and Supervisory Board, together with the families of their fallen colleagues, planted the “ Memory Alley ” at Askold's Grave in Kyiv to honor the memory of the bank's employees who died during the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war.

The purpose of this symbolic step is to show respect to the Oschadbank employees who paid for Ukraine's independence with their lives, and to forever engrave in hearts the names of the heroes who died with arms in their hands defending Ukraine, as well as the names of the civilian bank employees killed by the enemy over the past two and a half years. For the Oschadbank team, this place will now become a memorial to honor the victims of the war for independence.

19 thujas were planted on the alley, each symbolizing a person to whom the Oschad team wants to pay tribute and leave a memory in the form of an evergreen tree.

“Today, the families, relatives and friends of our fallen colleagues are here with us. The Oschadbank team shares the pain of your loss. I am confident that the bright memory of our heroes and innocent victims of the great war will forever remain in the memory of all those who knew them during their lifetime, loved and honored them. Let these beautiful trees remind us the price paid by Oschadbank employees so that we could live in a free and independent country,” said Sergii Naumov, Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.

The audience remembered the fallen colleagues by name and honored them with a minute of silence.

Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!
