Premium banking services as an art

Keeping abreast of banking trends, Oschadbank is gradually expanding its range of services in the premium segment. The success of this activity is confirmed by the assessment of the British rating agency Euromoney, which in 2022, 2023 and 2024 recognized Oschadbank Premium Banking as the best in Ukraine. An important vector of Oschadbank's social responsibility programs, namely the support of Ukrainian culture during the great war, helps to popularize Oschadbank's premium services. During World War II, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill refused to cut spending on culture for the sake of defense. “What are we fighting for then?” he rightly asked. And now, in the twenty-first century, Ukraine knows for sure that supporting culture is crucial in times of war. At a time when air raids are constantly sounding in Ukrainian cities, culture may seem to be on the back burner for some. Not for Oschad, though.

Oschadbank has been supporting Ukrainian art for more than 10 years as part of the development of premium banking, and did not stop doing so on February 24, 2022. The number of projects supporting culture at Oschad in wartime has only increased. For example, in early 2023, the bank supported an event at the Bohdan and Varvara Khanenko National Museum of Art as part of the all-Ukrainian cultural project “Art in Time of War.” The bank constantly supports artistic initiatives held at the Ukrainian House. These included a large-scale exhibition of works by Ukrainian artists called “Are You Okay?” and the project “Maria Draws” featuring 100 unknown works by Maria Prymachenko. We can also recall art events with the participation of Ukrainian artists in Oschad's premium centers, the release of the international collection “Contemporary Ukrainian Prose and Poetry” with works by eighteen Ukrainian writers, and the creation of an art notebook for children of premium customers, on the pages of which they can color pictures.

Why do we support this? Foremost, because we want to turn services for Oschadbank's premium customers into a real work of art, and for this purpose we are inspired by the best examples of Ukrainian culture. And we also inspire our customers with them. High art is the philosophy and DNA of Oschad's premium services. The main premium center of the bank is decorated based on paintings, photographs and sculptures by Nazar Bilyk, Pavlo Makov, Igor Gaidai, Oleg Tistol, Maria Kulikovska. There you can not only see these works, but also buy them, and the exposition is constantly updated. Also, in the premium zones throughout Ukraine, of which there are currently more than 70, there is a decorative panel with a modified painting by Kazymyr Malevich in three-dimensional projection. By the way, Oschadbank's premium payment card is decorated with a reproduction of the work of Ukrainian artist Anatoliy Kryvolap “Horse. Night”. There are many such examples of the organic combination of art and Oschadbank's banking services.

We support such initiatives also because Ukrainian art is a unique weapon that helps to unite the civilized world to help Ukraine in its fight against the aggressor. To popularize Ukrainian art abroad, Oschad helped publish a limited edition of the book “Even in Dark Times There is Light”, written in Ukrainian and translated into English, with a hundred stories of Ukrainians about the first year of the full-scale war. Each of the stories was illustrated by Ukrainian artists.
