On August 28, the results of the annual ranking “50 Most Influential Women in Fintech 2024” were presented, which for the second year in a row included three representatives of Oschadbank: Supervisory Board members Roza Tapanova and Yulia Pashko, and Board member in charge of micro, small and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs) Natalia Butkova-Vitvitska.
“The wide representation of Oschadbank's female executives in the ranking shows that we have made significant progress in the digitalization of financial services, and women play an important role in this process. In total, they make up 72% of all Oschad employees, play a crucial role in many areas, and the importance of their activities for the bank's operations is growing. I congratulate my colleagues on the recognition and wish them further achievements in this strategic area for us,” said Sergii Naumov, Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.
“I think it is absolutely logical that for the second year in a row, the jury of the competition recognizes women representatives of Oschadbank in this rating. Over the past year, we have made significant progress in the digitalization of services for MSMEs. More and more clients are applying for loans through the OschadBusiness platform to receive a preliminary decision in 24 hours without visiting a branch. This year, we introduced a new functionality - remote opening of a current account for individual entrepreneurs through remote identification in the Diia app. We will continue to do our best to make cooperation with Oschad not only profitable but also convenient,” said Natalia Butkova-Vitvitska, commenting on the event.
The Ukrainian Association of Fintech and Innovative Companies organizes this rating for the fourth time and positions it as a social project aimed at showing examples of successful women working in the financial sector and inspiring others to build a career in this area. Despite all the challenges, Ukrainian fintech continues to grow and creates many opportunities for women's leadership development.
The rating was based on a study conducted in several stages during June-August 2024. First, the Association’s analysts used special online forms to accept applications from women working in banks and non-banking institutions, payment companies, startups, and the public sector. Subsequently, the candidates were initially selected based on a number of factors: experience and performance in the financial sector, publications on fintech topics, participation in specialized events dedicated to the development of the fintech sector, and a proactive stance in promoting innovative programs and products in the financial sector. After the initial selection, a list of women was formed, among whom the jury selected the top 50 participants by secret ballot.
Oschadbank's digital projects for MSME clients are actively developing. Since the launch of the OschadBusiness platform, more than 7,000 online loan applications worth almost UAH 15 billion have been received, preliminary decisions on 549 applications worth UAH 979.6 million have been made, and 237 loan agreements worth UAH 485.3 million have been formalized. Last year, the number of incoming loan applications increased by 20% thanks to this online platform. Entrepreneurs from Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv (including the city of Kyiv), Lviv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv and Khmelnytsky regions are the most active in applying for loans.
