The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution that makes eRobota veteran grants even more attractive. The resolution means that entrepreneurs who pay taxes on the amount of the grant within a certain period (three, five or seven years) will receive an additional grant payment if they wish.
The obligations to create jobs in the project for which the grant is allocated are also mitigated. From now on, veterans are given an additional one year to hire new employees.
Oschad is the exclusive banking partner of the eRobota veteran program and has been actively involved in its implementation since its inception in 2023. Oschadbank's role is to verify grant applicants, open accounts, monitor the targeted use of funds, etc. Thus, with the help of Oschadbank, 1,100 veterans and their families have already received more than UAH 500 million in grants to start and develop their businesses.
We would like to remind that under the terms of the eRobota program, which aims to support veteran entrepreneurship, grants in the amount of UAH 250 thousand to UAH 1 million are provided to veterans (combatants or people with disabilities as a result of war) or a veteran's spouse.
A grant of up to UAH 500 thousand must be applied for by the veteran or the veteran's spouse, personally. A veteran with at least three years of entrepreneurial experience can apply for a grant of up to UAH 1 million. Grants for UAH 500 thousand and UAH 1 million will be provided on the condition of co-financing with the recipient in the ratio of 70/30, that is, 30% of the project cost must be covered by own funds.
The condition for granting non-refundable grants is the creation of new jobs. At the same time, the government expects that veteran entrepreneurs will primarily employ their fellow veterans.
Grant funds can be used to purchase equipment, raw materials, supplies, rent premises and vehicles necessary for the implementation of a business project, purchase licensed software, and pay for marketing and advertising services.
The state grant program eRobota is aimed at stimulating entrepreneurial activity and creating new jobs. In total, the government has issued more than 22,000 microgrants to citizens to start their own businesses. This will potentially generate about 42 thousand new jobs.
