For the seventh time in a row, Oschadbank's lawyers in the field of bad debt settlement have been recognized as the best in Ukraine

“The Best Legal Department for Problem Debt Settlement” - this is the award received by Oschadbank's legal service according to the results of the Best Legal Departments 2024 survey, which was presented at the XII Annual Forum of Legal Advisers.

“I am proud that Oschadbank has the most powerful team of lawyers working with bad debts. For the seventh consecutive year, it has been recognized as the best legal service in the banking sector. Despite the difficult years of war and uncertainty, we are systematically and confidently moving towards reducing the level of non-performing loans, actively using all available tools to work with the “bad” portfolio. The award will be an incentive for further success in this area,” commented Serhii Naumov, Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.

“Collecting bad debts in state-owned banks has always been a challenge, and the full-scale invasion has caused additional difficulties. However, Oschad has continued its successful work in this area even during the full-scale war, having adapted to the new realities of work. As a result, the bank has almost reached pre-war repayment rates. I would like to thank the entire team for their excellent work and results,” said Arsen Miliutin, Oschadbank's Management Board Member in charge of NPL.

Oschadbank continues to demonstrate a decrease in the volume of non-performing loans. According to the results of 9 months of 2024, the bank received UAH 1.52 billion in repayment of NPL assets. Oschad was able to achieve such results due to systematic, methodical and hard work aimed at finding solutions to resolve bad debts together with the debtor. Moreover, there are cases when the bank decides to stop recognizing a borrower's loan portfolio as problematic and transfers the client to servicing within the framework of standard approaches and policies as a stable business (as was the case with the debt of the WOG group of companies). In addition, this year, the repossessed property accounted for on the bank's balance sheet was sold for UAH 129 million (its book value was UAH 93.5 million).
