Oschadbank has provided charitable assistance to the Kyiv Aviation Institute (former National Aviation University) in the amount of UAH 480 thousand to purchase a diesel generator and related equipment that will help ensure stable operation of the institute even in the face of possible power outages.
This equipment will help support the educational process of students of flight specialties and engineers who maintain and operate aircraft. It will also ensure the uninterrupted operation of design bureaus involved in the development of unmanned aerial vehicles to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities. The generator will facilitate the operation of unbreakability points, shelters and classrooms, where students and teachers will continue the educational process even during prolonged blackouts.
“Supporting educational institutions is one of the important sustainable development projects of Oschadbank. We recognize that in times of demographic crisis, the high level of domestic universities can be an important factor that will help keep Ukrainian youth in Ukraine, which is extremely important for the further development of our country. In cooperation with the Kyiv Aviation Institute, it is also important for us that this educational institution is actively working on the development of new technologies to strengthen the country's defense capabilities,” said Sergii Naumov, Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.
“It is critical for a technical university to teach students offline. We train engineers in electronics, drones, electronic warfare, aircraft design, and telecommunications. These are all very applied areas. The KAI is working on a project aimed at the university's energy autonomy. But this is a long process, and we are grateful for the help of Oschadbank, which makes it possible to provide light to laboratories and educational buildings here and now,” added Ksenia Semenova, Acting President of the KAI.
