Oschadbank has allocated over USD 27 million to support a leading oil exporter

Oschad News

Oschadbank has entered into a series of loan agreements with Gradolia Group of Companies totaling more than USD 27 million. This will help the company to replenish its working capital and restore financial stability after making capital investments in 2023-2024.

The group of companies produces unrefined and refined (including packaged) sunflower oil, granulated meal and phosphatide concentrate at its own production facilities. Compared to most market players, the Group has the capacity to produce a full cycle of products: from unrefined oil to packaged certified refined oil for sale to customers.

As of mid-2024, Gradolia was ranked first in Ukraine (22.4% of the total volume) in terms of refined packaged oil exports and eighth among refined oil exporters (4.2% of total exports).

In 2023-2024, the company doubled its storage capacity for packaged oil, installed two new refined oil packaging lines, built a new silo with a storage capacity of 24 thousand cubic meters of seeds, and ensured uninterrupted operation of its enterprises in the absence of electricity supply by installing a 4 MW diesel generator system.

“Supporting exporters is one of the strategic areas of lending at Oschadbank. Over the past year, the Gradolia Group of Companies has increased its output by 22% in terms of tonnage and does not plan to stop increasing its dynamics, so the funds raised in Oschadbank will contribute to the export expansion of Ukrainian products. After all, almost 100 percent of the Group's products are exported to more than 80 countries, increasing the country's foreign exchange earnings and providing jobs for more than 300 production workers,” commented Yurii Katsion, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank in charge of corporate business.

“We have started cooperation with Oschadbank during a full-scale war, when you choose partners whose reliability is beyond doubt. In addition, when your business is growing, the bank you work with must match your ambitions. Next year, we plan to increase the share of high-margin products, packaged refined oil, from 53% to 80% in total sales. I will announce other ambitious plans later, and the partnership with Oschad will help us to do so,” said Ivan Tarshyn, co-owner and CEO of Gradolia Group.

For reference:

Gradolia Group of Companies owns an oil extraction plant, a refining plant and a vegetable oil packaging plant. The group's warehouse infrastructure includes a powerful elevator complex for storing raw materials, silos for storing meal and husks, vegetable oil storage tanks, and a warehouse for packaged products.

Since 2021, Gradolia Group has been one of the licensed suppliers for UN programs. During this period, under the World Food Program, the Group has supplied products worth more than USD 7 million to various countries and regions.
