Oschad issued the first 0% loan for alternative energy supply for a private house

A resident of Nizhyn, Chernihiv region, became the first to take advantage of the state program “Energy Independence of Households” at Oschadbank, which was launched on July 20. Under this offer, 0% interest rate loans are provided to owners of private homes for the purchase and installation of alternative energy generating units, including solar or wind hybrid power supply systems with a capacity of up to 10 kW. The loan is granted for a period of 10 years.

To receive a soft loan under this program, the borrower must meet the following conditions:

• be the owner of land and a house with an area not exceeding 250 sq. m;
• the average monthly total family income for six months should not exceed ten times the monthly average wage in Ukraine.

The project is being implemented by the Government of Ukraine jointly with the Entrepreneurship Development Fund.

In addition, Oschadbank offers its own consumer lending program for the purchase of goods and services for the installation of non-volatile equipment for both private houses and apartments in high-rise buildings.

The goods available for purchase include charging stations, energy independence (power) kits, thermal boilers, solar power plants and panels, wind turbines and related additional equipment and materials, installation work, etc. The loan is granted in the amount of UAH 50 to 400 thousand without collateral, guarantors, and hidden fees. The maximum loan term is 60 months.

“The agreement on the first loan for alternative energy supply for a private house at 0% was signed by my colleagues on the first day of the program's full operation. This indicates a significant demand for this product. In addition, I would like to draw the attention of potential borrowers to our own savings programs of preferential lending for the purchase of energy equipment. Last week alone, from July 15 to 22, we issued 53 such loans totaling about UAH 4 million,” said Anton Tiutiun, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.
