Oschadbank financed the city of Kamianske to provide alternative energy supply

Oschadbank has entered into a loan agreement with the mayor's office of Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk oblast, for over UAH 120 million to finance the development budget. The term of the agreement is 5 years.

With the funds raised, the city plans to purchase and install rooftop solar power plants with energy storage systems for educational institutions, a cogeneration power plant for the boiler house, as well as backup autonomous power sources (generators) for modular pellet boilers.

“We have been cooperating with Kamianske for 4 years. The total amount of credit limits we have opened for the city during this time will now exceed UAH 640 million. But this agreement is extremely important for us. In the face of constant enemy attacks on the country's energy system, it is imperative that local authorities take an active role in the development of decentralized generation. And the city of Kamianske demonstrates an example of such a responsible approach. Thanks to the bank financing, the city will be able to independently provide heat and light to more than 260 houses, 15 pre-schools, 9 secondary schools and 2 hospitals, if necessary,” said Yurii Katsion, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank in charge of corporate business.
