With the support of Oschadbank and Visa, three more mobile rehabilitation modules will be launched in Ukraine in the fall to provide free psychosocial and physical rehabilitation services to people affected by Russian aggression - veterans, their families and civilians. They will appear in Vasylkiv, Kyiv region, Khotyn, Chernivtsi region, and Kropyvnytskyi.
The project to install mobile rehabilitation modules is part of a social franchise implemented by the Mindy Foundation in cooperation with the Coordination Center for Mental Health of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the NGO Bezbariernist as part of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program "How Are You?", an initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska. The project aims to provide access to rehabilitation services in all parts of Ukraine.
The project was made possible thanks to members of the Business Without Barriers community – Oschadbank and Visa, with the support of regional military administrations.
A mobile rehabilitation module is a 72-square-meter building assembled using modular technology, completely barrier-free and equipped with modern equipment. The advantages of this format are manufacturability, efficiency, production speed and scalability. Such spaces are integrated into the local health care system, significantly enhancing secondary long-term rehabilitation in the post-acute period of treatment in the format of outpatient care.
The first mobile rehabilitation module was opened in January 2024 in Ovruch, Zhytomyr region. In five months of operation, this module has received 113 patients, including 64 military personnel, 31 civilians and 18 children. They have had 966 sessions of physical therapy, 546 manual and muscular procedures, 161 sessions with a psychologist, 7 group art therapy sessions, etc.
"This project is part of Oschadbank's inclusive My Accessibility program, which, among other things, includes many initiatives aimed at helping all war victims and especially veterans. In addition, as part of this area, we actively cooperate with the Superhumans Rehabilitation Center, where, together with Visa, we financed the creation of two wards, and independently provided UAH 10 million to create a sterilization center and help victims in need of prosthetics. Oschad also has financial offers for demobilized defenders who want to start their own business. These programs are designed to help them better adapt to society after returning from the front," said Sergii Naumov, Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.
"The mission of our company is to be accessible to every person in the world. We strive to provide the best payment services for all Ukrainians, and we believe that everyone deserves decent medical care that will help them return to a full life," commented Svitlana Chyrva, Vice President, Regional Manager of Visa in Ukraine and Moldova, "We at Visa are pleased to see that the first case of the mobile rehabilitation module was successful and to support this extremely important initiative in the future. We are pleased that the program is scaling up to create full-fledged rehabilitation conditions in every corner of Ukraine."
