Oschadbank supported the Ukrainian Paralympic Movement as part of the inclusive program “My Accessibility”

Oschadbank has become the general partner of the National Committee of Sports for Disabled People of Ukraine/National Paralympic Committee of Ukraine and the National Paralympic Team of Ukraine. This was announced at today's press conference of the National Committee on the occasion of the departure of the Ukrainian national team to the XVII Summer Paralympic Games in Paris, which will take place from August 28 to September 8, 2024.

“The Ukrainian Paralympic community is grateful to Oschadbank for its understanding, support, inclusiveness and united efforts for Ukraine's victory!  Oschadbank knows how to work effectively, Oschadbank helps Paralympians to win!” said Valeriі Sushkevych, President of the National Committee of Sports for Disabled People of Ukraine.

“Ukrainian Paralympians are real heroes! Thanks to them, the Ukrainian flag is raised on the world sports stage, the Ukrainian anthem is played in different parts of the world, and many people from different countries unite to help Ukraine in a difficult time in our country's life. Our sincere desire is to support these courageous athletes. In addition, we consider cooperation with the Paralympic Movement to be another component of Oschadbank's inclusive program “My Accessibility”, which, among other things, aims to remove obstacles to the full life of people with disabilities. We thank our partner – the National Committee – for its huge contribution to the development of inclusiveness in Ukrainian sports,” comments Sergii Naumov, Chairman of the Management Board of Oschadbank.

As part of the My Accessibility program, Oschadbank, based on its own experience, research, and best international practices, implements many projects aimed at helping people with disabilities and, in particular, men and women veterans. The bank's internal transformations cover three main areas: physical accessibility of branches, communication barrier-free and special service model, and development of digital technologies. A separate major area of work is to facilitate the physical rehabilitation of veterans and their reintegration into the country's economic life. An important component of the program is to initiate a broad public discussion on the need to create a barrier-free environment in Ukraine. To this end, the bank, together with its partners, holds special events, supports the release of popular shows and relevant media materials.

The National Paralympic Team of Ukraine consisting of 140 athletes (96 men and 44 women) will take part in 17 of the 22 sports represented in the 2024 Paralympic Games program: Para Athletics, Para Powerlifting,  Para Judo, Para Archery, Para Table Tennis, Wheelchair Fencing, Para Shooting, Para Swimming, Para Rowing, Para Cycling, Goalball, Para Canoeing, Para Triathlon, Para Badminton, Para Taekwondo, Bocce Ball and Seated Volleyball.

The slogan of this Paralympic Games is “Games Wide Open”, which symbolizes equality. The motto of the Ukrainian National Paralympic Team is “Your Support is Our Victory!”
