The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved six independent members of the next Supervisory Board of Oschadbank, as follows:
- Michal Krupinski
- Elizabeth Nelson
- Philip Heasley
- Volodymyr Lavrenchuk
- Juan Enrique Perez Calot
- Anton Piatygin
Messrs. Calot and Piatygin served as independent members of the previous board, and will continue in that role at the next Supervisory Board. The four new members will replace Baiba Apine, Michael Weinstein, Peter Briggs, and Janne Harjunpaa.
The outgoing Supervisory Board was the first elected under modern principles of corporate governance, and included six independent members with extensive experience in various areas of banking and finance. The Board adopted the strategy of transformation of Oschadbank into a commercially viable institution with a view towards eventual privatisation. Although the strategy was suspended following the armed aggression of the russian federation, the processes it set in motion proved an important factor in the resilience and endurance that the Bank demonstrated during the war.
“The Management Board and the staff of Oschadbank join me in welcoming the new Supervisory Board, as well as recognising the outgoing Supervisory Board for the significant contribution it has made to the transformation of the Bank. We thank the departing members for their hard work and dedication to the Bank and Ukraine, and wish them continuous success in all their future endeavours. I hope that we will enjoy equally fruitful cooperation with the new Supervisory board, which should allow us to continue with the reforms." commented Serhiy Naumov, CEO of Oschadbank.
"Ukraine and Oschad will forever remain in our hearts. I would like to extend my deepest thanks to the Bank's professional team for their constructive cooperation throughout our term, and the commitment and devotion they amply demonstrated during these turbulent years. Glory to Ukraine!", said Baiba Apine, the outgoing Chairwoman of the Oschadbank Supervisory Board.
